Around 1860 a young farm worker had the idea of carving a pollarded ash tree into the shape of a cross. The tree was unfortunately broken by a storm in 2010. The current tree is a copy, maintained by the city's gardeners in the same spirit.

The Navarre cross is located at a crossroads in the countryside. This cross is original because it was formed on a pollard ash tree by a farm worker from the Gironnière farm. Damaged by the storm, it was replaced ten years ago.
