Kochbunkers were built from the autumn of 1944 throughout the then Third Reich. They were one-man bunkers consisting of a dug-in concrete tube with a lid. The pipe had a diameter of two meters and could be prefabricated or cast on site. There are also Kochbunkers with a brick tube. Bricks are obviously less suitable for bunkers, which indicates that their construction lacked concrete.
