In the center of the star forest stands the lone oak, a clearly solitary tree. This forest of stars, which was created around 1790, originally has the shape of a wagon wheel with eight spokes. This oak was probably planted in 1792 during the construction of the star forest. The construction, on the highest point of the Amerongse berg, was commissioned by the owners of Amerongen Castle, who owned a large area here.

At the transition between forest and heath, this tree is surrounded by a bench - a nice place to take a break with a great view.

Exactly in the middle of the eight jump is this large Oak. Not really lonely, because there are benches all around where you can relax. In the sun, out of the wind. you can choose yourself...
