In S`Albufera there are more than 400 different plant species. The main vegetation in this area is reeds and reeds, which used to be used to feed cattle, among other things. In the summer months, seawater reaches the Albufera, which is fed from running waters in the other months of the year. As a result, there are areas with saline soil. Saltweed and rushes thrive in these areas, as do trees such as elms, tamarisks and white poplars.
