It was built at the end of the 18th century on the site of three earlier churches, the first of which dates back to the end of the 16th century. In 1898, during a thorough reconstruction, the nave was enlarged and connected to the women's gallery. The shape of the roof was also changed. In the 20th century it was renovated several times. In 1947 it was taken over by the Roman Catholic Church.
