The nature reserve "Auer Köpfle-Illinger Altrhein-Motherner Wörth" is the largest Altrhein area in the transition area between furcation and meander zones. The nature reserve is located in the districts of the municipalities of Au am Rhein and Elchesheim-Illingen - covering an area of 285.5 hectares.
