Best Road Cycling Rides to Swiss Hill Cobbled Climb

Tips

  • A real gem if you're into Belgian-style cobbles. It's a narrow climb that is under half a mile but super steep - especially at the start. Don't miss the turning from the main road and get a good run up into the climb. Further up you might be lucky enough to ride on a narrow strip of tarmac if there aren't too many parked cars.

Best to avoid in the wet as the cobbles get really slippery (just like they do on the continent).

  • Fantastic climb, but plan ahead as cobbles and wet leaves do not go with slicks!

  • Very very steep. Don’t start too strong.
