The Babbitt Ranch Passage leads you over flat backcountry roads with no shade. So better start your day early to ride in the cool hours of the morning. Take a look back from time to time and enjoy the view at the San Francisco Peaks that are getting smaller and smaller. Part of the Babbitt Ranch Passage lies on State Trust Lands (which are not public lands). The Arizona State Land Department requests that users obtain a recreation permit in advance.
