This is a memorial tower built in 1861 by the tenantry of Haddo in memory of their much beloved 4th Earl of Aberdeen. In his lifetime, he sponsored many improvements to benefit the local residents. Although it is still in family ownership, it is maintained by the Aberdeenshire Council. Entrance to the tower is free, and the tower seems to be open during daylight hours.

A small car park for a few cars to the south. A way marked path around the fields then leads you to the prop, about a 10-20 minute walk up.
