Hiking

The village of Renlevessen was once located in the Erpetal between the Schützeberg and Elmarshausen. This has been documented since 1021 and was then owned by the diocese of Paderborn. In 1367 there is evidence of a farm that was owned by the Wolfhagen Church. Shortly thereafter, however, the place must have been abandoned. No remains can be seen at the site today. What remains, however, is a beautiful view across the Erpe to the Schützeberg, the Ofenberg and Wolfhagen - and an information board on the road that points to this deserted area.
