At the confluence of the River Cannich and the River Affric, Cannich is well located as a base for some excellent Highland adventures. You can follow the River Affric into the magnificent Glen Affric, one of Scotland's finest or, by following the River Cannich, you eventually come to the remote Loch Mullardoch.

Cannich is an important stop on the stunning Affric Kintail Way, a 44-mile (71 km) long-distance trail between Drumnadochit on Loch Ness and Morvich on the eastern end of Loch Duich.
