A village church was first mentioned at this location in 1178, from which field stones on the chancel are still preserved today. The brick building was renewed from 1753.
The pretty church is elevated from the main street and is surrounded by a small cemetery. There are also two old bells here.

Hiking

Inside is a late Gothic, gilded carved altar from around 1500, featuring a multi-figured crucifixion group and four saints. The altar wings, restored in 2005, depict the 12 Apostles, while the outer panels depict four scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary. A Baroque, black pulpit dates from 1753. A terracotta relief on the left side of the choir comes from the monastery church of Dargun Castle, which burned down in 1945.
