The Schinkel Tower in Letschin is what remains of the church built in 1818/1819 according to plans by Karl Friedrich Schinkel. The church was the focal point of the town for 125 years until it was badly damaged in 1945. Then only the ruins of the church in Letschin stood until it was demolished in the 1970s. The 37 m high church tower was preserved, it is called the Schinkel Tower. This was secured, renovated and restored from 2002 to 2004. Today there is a small exhibition on the church and tower on the ground floor of the tower. Visits can be requested in the Letschin homestead.
