The Benito Pérez Armas House of Culture, open since 1990, is located in the Plaza de los Remedios, in the center of Yaiza. Built in the 19th century in the traditional Canarian architectural style, the L-shaped building was the birthplace and residence of the politician and writer Benito Pérez Armas from 1871 to 1937. The single-story building, with an interior patio and a terrace on the roof, it is currently used for exhibitions, concerts, conferences and other cultural events. The house is a listed building.
