Directly behind the Ferris wheel is a lost place, a beautiful villa, the "Villa Baltic". It was built by the architect Alfred Krause between 1910 and 1912 in the neo-baroque style for a Berlin lawyer. After a variety of uses over time, the villa has stood empty since reunification despite changing owners, and structural damage caused by the vacancy and vandalism are the result... what a pity.
