The trail is definitely one of the highlights on the Reschen Pass. Super smooth and not as rooted and bombed out as one or the other trail.

  • The Bergkastel Trail is one of the longest in a region that is bursting with long and well-maintained trails. You can easily get to the start with the cable car. The descent doesn't seem to want to end. It's more than four kilometers downhill to the valley. This trail is not a favorite of some locals for nothing.

  • The Bergkastel Trail is consistently rated S1, in a few passages at the limits of S2, the single trail scale. Here, fun is guaranteed for almost every mountain biker! You don't expect a marble run from crushed sand, but a beautiful, natural single trail. And this never seems to want to end. In the last third of the descent, the path becomes somewhat steeper and more rooty than in the beginning.

If it gets too hard for you, you can get off the trail at regular intervals and follow the gravel road into the valley.

  • Best trail for me personally in the area. Also suitable for non-professionals. Has (almost) everything the enduro & downhill rider wants.

  • The longest trail in the area, also good mobile in bad weather!

  • Unfortunately it's over. The trail is really awesome. There is something for everyone. It can be fast, steep, curvy but also really flowy. A beginner will certainly reach his limits here, but will also learn something in the process.
But now off to Nauders to the lift and back up...

  • A well laid out trail. You can already see it from the cable car. It's fun to drive. Even if the few counter climbs are really exhausting.

  • Ingenious S2 - not suitable for beginners, but quite doable. I definitely don't think the trail is “flowy”.

  • Connecting cycle path between Reschen and Nauders. The Bergkastel cable car is on the way.

  • The Bergkastel Trail is one of the longest trails around the Reschen. Is great for getting into the three-country trails. No really rough or steep spots. Still alpine terrain. Also for not particularly experienced drivers; inside feasible!

  • After two descents you can really let it run. But be careful: about 200 meters before the end of the trail - the last possible jump hill - a rock juts out onto the trail in the "landing". Whoever lands on it gets in trouble. Broken rib last time. So down piano...

  • red trail from the Stieralm to the valley station of the Bergkastel cable car (Nauders). Some steep curves, some stony passages, otherwise easy to ride, narrow path. Also accessible from the Bergkastel mountain station via the Hofrats Trail.
