Hofrats-Trail

A relatively new trail. Getting started promises a lot and is also really fun. The middle section over the piste is a bit boring. But as soon as it goes back into the forest, it makes sense again and above all it's fun.

After the completion of the new Hofrats-Trail, it leads from the mountain station of the Bergkastelbahn over almost 2 kilometers to the Hofratseck. It is a new flow trail with a blue level of difficulty, which has been carefully and playfully laid out around adjacent stone pine trees. Arriving at the Hofratseck, the trail joins the somewhat rougher Bergkastel trail (difficulty level red). From the Hofratseck, advanced hikers have the option of entering the Bergkastel Trail directly or undertaking stages of it. You can also reach the valley station of the Bergkastelbahn via a wide forest path either downhill or gently uphill to the Stieralm in about 10 minutes. (Source: 3-laenderendurotrails.com)
