The Sjûkelân or Sternse Slotland is the field in the center of Franeker on which handball matches are held and which owes its fame mainly to the annual PC handball game, which has been played there since 1856.
On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the PC in 2003, the PC organization donated two 18.6 meter high towers to the city, which were placed on the east side of the site. They were designed by architect Rein Hofstra. For the PC handball game, the so-called Skiltribune is built between the towers, which form a whole with the rest of the temporary stadium. There are glass doors at the bottom of the towers, through which the public can enter.
