About Andi

Today I cycled over the Rothaar ridge to the source of the Ferndorf River and to the confluence with the Sieg River in Siegen. Passing through lovely little villages, I then visited some relatives – unfortunately, that split the tour. I combined the data into one tour, but it apparently didn't quite…

Damn. I actually wanted to go to the Ferndorf spring and follow the Ferndorf to its confluence with the Sieg in Siegen, and then back again. It started to rain at Lahnhof. So I decided to head back to dry Hesse and do a few more meters on my own. 🤷♂️

Today I headed to the source of the Sieg River and followed the Sieg to the confluence with the Ferndorf River in Siegen, then back home via the Haincher Höhe. Even though there are bike paths and roads along the route, I'm classifying this as a mountain bike tour. Two Rothaarkamm routes and plenty of…

Today I went on a normal bike ride – only on bike paths. The climb up Wetterhöhe is a long one, but the downhill on the other side is endless. The Engelbach and Treisbach valleys are very beautiful. It's worth doing. 61% off, 39% tour, 45% battery remaining.

Today, we went on a final boss tour😂😂. We rode to the Rhine-Weser Tower in decent mountain biking style, with hardly any road. Beautiful scenery along the way, well-deserved with plenty of elevation gain. Horse and rider returned to the stable without any cramps. 64% off, 27% tour, 9% eco, 24% battery remaining.

With the great weather today, I actually went on a normal bike ride without any mountain bike trails. Instead, I racked up some miles like crazy...at least by my standards. From Katzenfurt onward, the bike path slowly becomes nice; before that, there was a lot of road or right next to the railway. The…

Today I rode the Westerwald Loop in the truest sense of the word. There are a lot of beautiful places along the route, but unfortunately it's no longer rideable. I ended up in blackberry thickets twice for about 200m 🤷♂️ and had to push my bike. The trail from the country road to the Trödelsteine is…

Today, I'm going to climb some elevation. The ride through the Hainbach Valley to Didoll is very nice, but it's also a long one. Above Sassenhausen, there's a beautiful ridge with fantastic views. The descent from Sassenhausen to Bad Laasphe isn't rideable—I wouldn't do it again. All in all, though…

Due to a lack of planning, I once again did the local circuit with slight modifications. Things are slowly but surely getting greener outside. Beautiful.

A very pleasant and beautiful tour. 50% of the route is generally downhill. Because of all the villages you pass through, there's naturally a lot of asphalt under your bike. The rest, however, was also a lot of gravel, forest paths, and, especially in the greater area around Dünsberg, beautiful trails…
