In order to create the riverside path for pedestrians and cyclists between the island tip and the Mielenz harbor, it was necessary to cross the canal-side access to the dry dock. The bridge superstructure was designed as a six-span trough bridge made of aluminum with the dimensions: L = 93.0 m, W = 3.0 m, clear clearance height 4.60 m. A ramp suitable for disabled people was built on the south side of the bridge.
