Around 1150, Affligem Abbey had the Hof van Zellik built, run by monks and lay brothers. In the 1st half of the 15th century the Hooghof became a tenant farm.
In 2020, the Zellik Riding Club bought the farm and part of the grounds. VLM, ANB and a farmer purchased the remaining land. The spacious surroundings of the farm became a higher-quality open space with more opportunities for agriculture, nature, recreation and water management through land development.
