In 1994 a large sculpture symposium took place in Traun. The artist Josef Baier won first prize with his “Wave”. Today the rust-brown sculpture made of sheet steel stands on the spacious meadow in front of the new spinning mill. A perfect location for the “wave”, which, as a symbol of never-ending movement, surrounds the successful Trauner Kulturpark with dynamic momentum.
Josef Baier was born in Salzburg in 1951 and has been working artistically in Upper Austria for almost three decades. In 2009, the well-known sculptor also honored our gallery in the city of Traun with his exhibition.
