The Susmühle on the Niers was built around 1700 outside the city walls of Goch, to complement the urban Lohmühle. Towards the end of the 19th century, it received a supportive steam drive. Since the straightening of the Niers in 1932, the water level is no longer sufficient to operate the mill, it has been shut down.
