The nature reserve Großes Torfmoor (also: Hiller Moor or Nettelstedter Moor) is a high moor in the north-east of North Rhine-Westphalia in the municipalities of Lübbecke and Hille. The moor lies in a lowland between the Wiehengebirge and the Mittelland Canal and, at 467 hectares, is the most important high moor in Westphalia.

Hiking

In May/June in the evening (7/8 p.m.) there are unfortunately quite a few mosquitoes/horseflies that like to bite. I would recommend going a little earlier.
