Nineteenth-century country house, which took its name from the toponym of the nearby lands Ravaart, also called “Kasteel Moerman” after the former owners. To this day with preserved residential function. The surrounding, more or less neglected castle park is located in the southeastern part of the municipality that connects to the Floordambos and initially formed one whole with the adjacent castle domain Huynhoven. In the northwestern corner, the old entrance has been preserved, consisting of bluestone pillars with an iron gate. To the northeast of the castle are a number of outbuildings and the walled kitchen garden, formerly with several greenhouses and an orangery incorporated into the enclosure wall.

According to cadastral data, Kasteel Ravaart was already in use in 1863, the same year as the registration, although literature sources mention 1865 as the year of construction. According to the same sources, it was probably built by order of Anna Detige, who was married to Alfons Rayé, son of the famous doctor Carolus Rayé who owned the neighbouring Huynhoven (number 60). It is possible that as a widow she acquired part of the extensive castle domain as an inheritance from her young deceased husband and had an estate built here for herself and her daughter Alice Rayé. Alice Rayé would later marry Leon Moerman, the family name from which the other name of the property was derived. However, cadastral registers mention Sebastianus Detige as the owner at the time of construction.

The pond and the outbuildings (numbers 34-36), located respectively to the southeast and northeast of the castle, were drawn on the land registry at the same time as the castle, which according to the mutation sketches was already extended in 1870, most likely these are the outer bays under a flat roof. In 1884, the still existing conservatory and the currently renovated orangery were drawn, both located to the east of the castle. Finally, we mention that the country house was originally preceded by a spacious French garden, as is evident from old photographs and the remains of a baluster fence with ornamental vases at the front of the castle.
