The 'De Vijfbunder' walking path is the result of a collaboration between the municipality of Dentergem and private owners.
The path, which opened in 2019, is only 550m long, but allows you to avoid roads with a lot of car traffic and walk through the fields of Dentergem to Markegem (or vice versa).
In the meantime, the municipality has taken more similar initiatives, which we can only applaud, especially in a region where too many slow roads were closed by private property or were converted into roads accessible to motorized traffic.
