Near the crossing on the A45 at Westerfilde lies the Mastbruchteich, a lake surrounded on all sides by forest, on which one can catch a glimpse of some places. Anyone traveling on quiet hiking trails and having patience, reports a friendly local resident, can observe all sorts of birds here.
