Active Revierwasserlaufanstalt Freiberg - Friedrich Benno Stolln I.

Construction of the 2,213 m long first Friedrich Benno Stollns began in 1790. The Rösche received its name from the commission, which was commissioned by the rescript of Friedrich August III. was commissioned on April 29, 1786 to bring about new impact water. These were the Privy Councilor Friedrich Scheuchler, the Bergmeister Friedrich Schmid and the Berghauptmann and Chamberlain Benno von Heynitz. The name Friedrich Benno Stolln came from her first name. After the completion of the construction of the first Friedrich Benno adit in 1817, the second or new Friedrich Benno adit was surveyed on July 14, 1819 by the adit factor Karl Friedrich Franke. The breakthrough is recorded in the log of January 28, 1826. In 1824 there were two major fractures in the first Friedrich Benno Stolln, which were repaired in the same year. The 114 m long artificial ditch at the Bierwiesenteich, which connects the two Friedrich Benno tunnels, was built in 1818. The Dittmanndorf artificial ditch forms the upward continuation of the district watercourse. In 2000, the Friedrich Benno Stolln I was partially secured by mining using steel arches and shotcrete lining.
