The building dating from 1782 in a semi-classical style was built on the site of an old church dating from the 12th century. It was under the supervision of the Abbey of Aulne, as indicated by the chronogram above the entrance door.

On the outside, you can admire the bulbous bell tower, which is exceptional for the region. In 1780, the church had 3 bells. Only one will remain after the passage of the French troops. It was replaced in 1984 but is still on display in the left side nave.

Inside, in addition to the stained glass windows, the attention is drawn by numerous tombstones and funerary monuments which contribute to the interior decoration. That of Jean-François Hossart and Anne-Marie Philipart includes a bas-relief representing Saint Francis of Assisi.
