Anyone in Khao Lak should not miss the national park. Best to go there by taxi. The taxi driver waits for you to return. If it has rained, the trail is slippery in parts and you should at least wear trekking sandals.

Located about 80 km north of Phuket, Khao Lak Lamru National Park is a small park covering an area of 125 km². While less than a few km2 of the park stretches along the coast to the Andaman Sea, the park comprises mostly tropical evergreen montane forests with the highest peak a little further inland at 1,077 metres.

As of June 2022, entrance fees are 100 baht for adults and 50 baht for children aged 3-14. Entrance fees can be paid at the visitor center or at the entrance.

We went there by taxi and returned mostly on foot along the beach. 8 km with several swimming breaks. Don't forget a bag for hiking boots

We were there in the rainy season but thankfully it was dry😅 we took a taxi there and were picked up by a nearby restaurant after we had fought our way through the jungle
