The church of Santa Maria e Santo Stefano rises along the Aneva valley, halfway up the slope between the watershed ridge between Reno and Panaro and the Reno valley. Of Baroque style, it has a tripartite façade which denounces the internal scansion of the volumes. The interior, a barrel-vaulted hall with recesses, is divided into five irregular bays with four side chapels interspersed with smaller niches. The presbytery, with a quadrangular plan, has a cross vault.
