The Hermitage of Montovolo, from the official name of Sanctuary of the Beata Vergine della Consolazione di Montovolo, offers a wonderful view of the Reno valley at an altitude of 1000 metres. The sanctuary is open from May to September on Saturdays and Sundays; there is a small refreshment point. It is possible to stay overnight by contacting the number +39 339 153 0392 in advance.

The Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Cosolazione, in Montovolo, dates back to the 12th century. It stands 912 meters above sea level, over a church dating back to before the year 1000, itself built on a pagan temple.
Above the altar is a wooden sculpture of the Blessed Virgin and Child, dating back to the 15th century.
Getting there is a very challenging climb.
