Drägerweg (Wakenitz Conservation Area)

Great bike path through really nice forests and fields.

Nature lovers will find along the Wakenitz today a river landscape with enchanted alluvial forests and dammed lake landscapes. Far away from the traffic, they reach along the banks or on the water from the city center of Lübeck into a green, unspoilt paradise. For hikers and cyclists, the signposted »Drägerweg« leads over 15 kilometers to Ratzeburg Lake. Water sports enthusiasts such as canoeists, rowers and sailors will find striking destinations on the west bank such as the Müggenbusch or the Absalonshorst. The former fishing foothills are now run as gastronomic businesses and have jetties where you can land. In addition, there are also the excursion boats of the "Wakenitz shipping Quandt".
