Mountain biking
One of the most beautiful and largest wooden churches in Thuringia, consecrated in 1892. The church was built in the late Gothic style and is entirely covered with slate. Numerous concerts invite you to visit throughout the year. The key to visit the church is available during the opening hours of the tourist information.

The wooden "town church" is the second in Neuhaus am Rennsteig. The first wooden church, consecrated in 1673, was demolished in 1894.
On my rainy day of hiking I got a personal tour from the pastor, as no other visitors were registered. Here I was given extensive and heartfelt facts. Since I was completely soaked, I was even offered warm tea.
