Town Church Neuhaus am Rennweg

Jesus' words, "I am the vine, you are the branches..." (John 15:5), are embodied pictorially and figuratively throughout the church. The dark wood paneling and the light streaming in through the stained-glass windows, designed in the English Gothic style, create an incomparable image.

The Neuhausen Church is one of the few wooden churches in Germany and also one of the largest in Thuringia. Located in the center of the town, the church was consecrated on August 28, 1892, and is entirely clad in slate due to the harsh low mountain climate.
