The museum offers a comprehensive exhibition on the battle, the 2009 archaeological excavations that unearthed the bodies of 250 soldiers, and the identification campaign that followed.

A modern and very descriptive museum with a focus on war archaeology: the reconstruction of the Battle of Fromelles, in which the Australian troops played an important role, is very interestingly documented here.
Also the heroic rescue efforts of Simon Fraser, who rescued wounded comrades from the battlefield.
The cemetery and the Australian Memorial are in the immediate vicinity.
