The St. Severi Church in Otterndorf is the largest church in the state of Hadeln. Its history can be traced back to the 13th century. The church probably owes its name to a bishop from Ravenna (originally Wollweber), who died there in 348 AD. St. Severi's Church is an elongated brick hall building with a high gabled roof and large windows with baroque spires. The choir, created in 1586, is built as a three-aisled and vaulted hall.
