The Grasnickbrunnen in Fürstenwalder Eisenbahnstrasse has been a gem for over a hundred years and has defied war, storms and renovations. The former brewery owner and city councilor Otto Grasnick gave it to the city in 1907 - in memory of his recently deceased wife Marie.
Then as now, his ornament was the 1.15 meter tall bronze boy, from whose tub water sloshes. Some say he's a fisherman, others a cooper.

The fountain was donated in 1907, instead of the Catholic chapel, by Otto Grasnick, owner of the Fürstenwald brewing company. To decorate the city and in memory of his wife.
