Die Ruhrbrücke in Fröndenberg

The Himmelmannpark with the Fröndenberg funnel is right next door. The "high-performance funnel catcher" of the former Himmelmann paper mill was built in 1952 and is 14 meters high. Here the Ruhr is already a very decent river. Upstream on the right is the Schwittener Kraftwerk, which can be visited on request. Down the river, the railway line crosses the Ruhr valley into the Hönnetal valley.
Incidentally, the Ruhr marks exactly the border between Menden and Fröndenberg and the border between the Märkischer Kreis and the district of Unna.

Beautiful railway bridge is on the bike path towards Schwerte Ruhr in Fröndenberg Ruhr! Beautiful views and pure nature can only recommend going there, whether you stay on foot or by bike!
