The Triana Market, located in Seville, is a place full of history and charm. It officially dates back to 1823, although street vendors and farmers traded in this enclave before due to its strategic location. It was a meeting point between the ships that arrived on the Guadalquivir, the crops of the Aljarafe and the access from the old Ruta de la Plata.

This market, located on the ruins of the old San Jorge Castle, offers a wide variety of options for visitors.

The Castle of Saint George was a medieval fortification built on the right bank of the Guadalquivir River, in the Spanish city of Seville, Andalusia. In addition to its defensive function, this castle also served as the headquarters and prison of the Spanish Inquisition. However, in the 19th century, it was demolished to make way for the construction of a food market.
Although it no longer exists in its original form, the underground ruins of the castle currently house a museum center that offers information about the history of the castle, the Spanish Inquisition and religious repression. The castle was located in the Triana neighborhood, and next to the old food market is the Callejón de la Inquisición, which was part of the fortification and now connects Castilla Street with the Paseo Nuestra Señora de la O.
