There is a local boat ferrying passengers, motorcycles and bicycles across the Perak River from center of the old Teluk Intan town to the Chinese village (Kampung Cina) on the west side of the river. Small fees applies for passenger and bike. Boat leaves frequently or upon full. Last boat is about 6.30pm-6.45pm. Not a bad way to cross the river after visiting the clock tower; rather than head south towards Route 5 bridge crossing (almost 9-10km away) or Route 109 on north side of town. Great time saving option and ride pass local village on a route less travelled.
