17 September 1894 – In 1894, a car collided with an elephant near Bandar Teluk Anson, Perak. This is the only violation with elephants ever experienced by the Malayan Railway (KTM).

This unexpected incident happened in the afternoon when this passenger train was traveling from Tapah Road to Teluk Anson. However, this violation did not result in any casualties. Only the carriage derailed at the scene for 2 weeks.

To commemorate this historic event, a sign recording how the event happened has been erected at the scene of the accident. The skull and tusks of the elephant that was killed were kept in the Taiping Museum. To make it easier for the public to see the elephant's skull, it has been moved and displayed at the Kuala Lumpur National Museum.

The breach that occurred on this day in 1894 did not involve any casualties but it did affect revenue and disrupt the service of the Tapah Road Teluk Anson passenger train. In fact, it can also be described as a factor that has affected the progress of KTM's economic development as a whole.
