Predominantly gravel in mid section, with single track road at northern end and firm bridleway at southern end (still rideable in Dec). A nice view over Bedford with a flowing descent travelling south to north. Be careful crossing at the North end junction as 3 roads all join on the main roads corner.
I like this section as it's a perfect traffic free link from Route 51/Danish Camp into the North Beds villages, to maintain my preferred low traffic rides during the winter months
