Wrest Park is a spectacular country estate on the edge of Silsoe village. The present house was built in 1834 by Thomas de Grey, an amateur architect who was inspired by Parisian design. Acres of beautiful parkland and formal gardens, including impressive columns, an orangery, a Baroque pavilion, and marble fountains, surround the house.
