The Saint Martin is part of the route of the Grandes Alpes but is rather unknown. After the Bonette, many only have Nice's goal in mind. Wrong, because St.Martin is a very nice pass. From the west, out of the Tinée valley, it swings boldly and promisingly through a rock face up to Valdeblore, the Ostrampe leads with many serpentines from the village of St.Martin up to the pass. On the west side up to 12%, a bit flatter in the east, on the entire length good two lanes and 06/19 in good condition.

In the footsteps of Paris-Nice 2018 - Stage 7. Super great landscape and a super ascent with little car traffic. Not very steep - but relatively long (on the last two kilometers you can beg a little again with 9%. But that's more a matter of the head than really being physically pushed to the limit ...)

Even if you could go up in one train from the training stand, you just have to stop here and there and enjoy the magnificent landscape. This can easily be combined with filling up the drinking bottles, as there is a well with fresh mountain water every few kilometers.
