Hiking

In 1952 the first Protestant church was opened in Stadtallendorf with the emergency church. Due to the small size, further church buildings were necessary for the growing congregation. In 1960 the town church and in 1965 the Herrenwald church (deconsecrated in 2013) were inaugurated. The foundation stone for the town church was laid in 1959 and it was inaugurated on September 11, 1960. At Christmas 1960 the church received bells, in 1964 an organ, which was rebuilt in 1980 by the Bosch company.
