Coming from Mondsee, the route is certainly a great alternative to the road for mountain bikes.
However, it was borderline with the gravel. The last section in particular is quite steep, with loose and washed-out ground. I had to push the last 20 meters to the road.

With an eMTB, this is a great alternative to the main road—which you'd otherwise spend far too much time on anyway. Yes, the path has a few short, steep steps, especially the top section, which is significantly longer and therefore a bit strenuous.
