The Margarethenhöhe is a district in the south of Essen, near the Grugapark. Margarethe Krupp started the project for a new housing estate in 1906 on the occasion of the wedding of her daughter Bertha. The goal was attractive housing conditions, not only for employees of the Krupp Group.
