Perhaps the most beautiful section on the way from Manderscheid to the Windsborn crater lake. The Horngrabenbach eats its way into the terrain as it becomes steeper and steeper. Shortly before meeting the Kleine Kyll, the brook worked its way deep into the lava and an approximately 100 meter long path leads through the gorge. Stones and trees are covered with moss. Moisture is in the air and gives a wildly romantic impression that the photos stored here cannot even come close to reproducing.

"Small ravine in the valley of the Little Kyll The Wolfsschlucht is the lower part of the so-called Horngraben, which extends from the Mosenberg chain to the Little Kyll A narrow path winds over smaller and larger lava and basalt lumps through the gorge.
Interesting for plant lovers: in the cool and humid ravine there are some rare plant species (which you can view or take pictures of, but leave it alone!). At the bottom of the gorge you can see large basalt columns in an old quarry. Here is also an information board as part of the Georoute with more information. Pleasant, easy tour with an idyllic landscape. Almost all the time you walk along the little Kyll. The adventure trail with wind chime, hearing tube and co. is also interesting for playful adults.
The Hotel-Café-Restaurant Heidsmühle is the perfect place to start and stop off.
