The Weitmannsee is beautiful to hike around at any time of the year and in summer it offers a beautiful natural beach with bathing opportunities. There is also a restaurant by the parking lot.

The east side of the Weitmannsee offers visitors a harmonious mix of nature experiences and leisure opportunities.Natural areas:
Along the east side there are natural shore areas with dense vegetation and reed belts. These sections are ideal for walks and nature observation, as they serve as a habitat for numerous water birds and other animals. A circular path of around 3.3 kilometers leads around the lake and takes around 50 minutes. This path allows you to discover the different facets of the Weitmannsee, especially the natural sections in the south.Leisure activities:
In the north-eastern area of the east side there are spacious lawns and playgrounds that invite you to relax and sunbathe. A beach volleyball court and a large playground offer additional leisure opportunities for families and sports enthusiasts. There is also a restaurant with public toilet facilities that ensure the physical well-being of visitors.Access and infrastructure:

It is recommended not to leave the designated paths in order to protect the flora and fauna.
