Plans to build a bridge connecting Ostrów Brdowski with the city existed before World War II and in the 1960s, but were not implemented at that time. The project was undertaken by Crist Eko, a company owned by Gdynia's Crist Shipyard, in 2014–2015, and its main goal was to operate a factory located on the island producing foundations for offshore wind farms. The investment cost was approximately PLN 42 million. The three-span structure is 200 m long, has two traffic lanes and two sidewalks. The navigation height under the bridge is 4.8 m

Searching for lodging in the broader Szczecin city center or nearby districts would yield many choices.
